COLOR & TYPOGRAPHY

Audience:

The targeted audience are middle to older adults who are pet or home owners in Cambria and the surrounding areas who are seeking pet or home care services. Potential tourists in the area will also be interested in their services. Any potential customers are going to want specific ways for their pets to be looked after so tailoring each service to the pet and the pet’s personality is very important. The customers value safety and responsibility above all else and the design of the webpage should also speak to that.

Residents of Cambria and the surrounding areas are likely to leave their pets with the business longer than tourists. Residents are also likely to utilize more of the other services like house and garden care. 

Tourists in the area are more likely to only book a couple hours of pet care, so it is important to explain the various packages that are offered. It is also essential to address that the animal caretakers are all residents of the local area which means that they are familiar with the environment, and can help the pets adjust.

Challenge: 

The biggest challenge to consider was why potential clients should choose a small pet care business in Cambria instead of booking with a big name brand. The color palette of the webpage also needed to be distinct, but also similar in the category of colors to other brands. The bookings pages should make the customer feel understood and assure them that their pets are in good care based on the information that they are providing. The business needs to be advertised as a pet care and home care service, but it should be seen as a local, friendly, and trustworthy neighbor first.

Concept & Strategy:

Focusing on advertising the community aspect to foster connections to the pet and home owners in the area helps to establish trust. Images and informative content make it engaging, and highlighting the personalized service makes it seem like a professional and experienced business. Big brands have wider networks, and their customer base reaches a bigger audience group than smaller businesses. Cambria Care Angels rely on fostering the sense of community between the business and their clients. The google reviews and star ratings also allude to that sense of community and establishes trust. Reading about other people’s experiences allows potential customers to learn about the business from another customer. To minimize any anxiety that owners might potentially have, the emphasis on communication is huge.

Customizations are one of the best ways to ensure that the pets are enjoying their time away from their owners. Allowing customers to tell the business more about their pets is critical for personalized service. The bookings pages allows the customer to tell us all about their pets, and they will not be billed until their request has been reviewed by Cambria Care Angels, and their pet has been assigned a caretaker. This continues to build the relationship between the customer and animal caretaker.
